PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a paper sheet P with a warp generated so as to raise a central part in a width direction, adhered to a transport belt 140. SOLUTION: This recorder includes a recording head 110 for performing recording by ejecting ink on a paper sheet P, the transport belt 140 that has a plurality of through-holes 142 and is adapted to transport the paper sheet P to a recording region 202 of the recording head 110, fans 148, 149, 150 for generating a suction force for sucking air, and a sucking section that has a plurality of communication fluid channels 180 for allowing the fans 148, 149, 150 to communicate with the plurality of through-holes 142 and allows the paper sheet P to be attracted to the transport belt 140 by allowing the through-holes 142 to generate the suction force. In a region 201 at the upstream side of the recording region 202 in the transporting direction, the suction force at a central section 302 in a direction perpendicular to the transporting direction of the paper sheet P is larger than each of the suction forces at both ends 301, 303.
