PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an original plate of a planographic printing plate, preventing the occurrence of a flaw due to a projecting part (a burr) even if it has a projecting part (a burr); and a manufacturing method for it. SOLUTION: In this original plate 10 of the planographic printing plate, the lower edge part at the cut end 10C (hereinafter referred to as a cutting side lower edge part 10E) has the burr 11B (the projecting part). The cut end 10C is bent upward with respect to a virtual surface P, which is flush with the central part of the back 10B of the PS plate 10 extending from the central part toward the cut end 10C, and the tip of the burr 11B is located above the virtual surface P.
