<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring apparatus which displays not only the video image of a monitoring object person leaving a room but also the video image of the person entering the room, when the video image of a monitoring object person leaving the room of a monitor area is browsed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Identification information of a monitoring object person who leaves a room is received from a gate terminal apparatus, and the video image of the person entering the room is acquired based on the person identification information thus received. Together with the video image of the monitoring object person leaving the room, transmitted from an imaging device corresponding to the gate terminal apparatus, the video image of the monitoring object person entering the room is displayed on a display means.
