<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitter and its manufacturing method for efficiently taking out light emission in an EL layer to an external part, and restraining interference between adjacent image elements. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This light emitter includes a lower electrode 14, an electroluminescent layer 16 including at least a light emitting layer, an upper electrode 18 and a sealing substrate 26 in order on a support substrate 12, and takes out the light emitted from the electroluminescent layer from the upper electrode side. The light emitter 10 is characterized in that an inactive fluid 28 is filled in a space between the sealing substrate and the support substrate, and a light wave guide member 22 extending in a columnar shape toward the sealing substrate, is arranged on the upper electrode.
