<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a highly precise press working by reducing the deflection of a bed frame caused by press reaction force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the press device 10, which has a plurality of corner columns 13 erected between a plurality of corner parts in a bed frame 11 and a plurality of corner parts in a crown frame 12 and in which the bed frame 11, the crown frame 12 and the corner columns 13 are fastened by tie rods 13A, intermediate columns 14 are erected between one or more intermediate parts between the adjoining corner parts in the bed frame 11 and one or more intermediate parts between the adjoining corner parts in the crown frame 12, and the bed frame 11, the crown frame 12 and the intermediate columns 14 are fastened by tie rods 14A.
