<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power the consumption of a home communication apparatus, to eliminate the waiting time of an initialization process in reuse and to prevent a communication status from being deteriorated by variation in the quantity of interference between telephone lines with respect to the home communication apparatus with a timer function, aggregate communication apparatus and link connection status setting method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The home communication apparatus comprises a timer operation panel including a communication starting time display section 120, a communication starting time setting button 130, a communication starting time determining button 140 and a communication stop button 150. A communication starting time is set by these buttons and when no communication is implemented, power feeding of a digital subscriber line (DSL) signal communication block is stopped. When it becomes the communication starting time according to the timer function, an initialization process is implemented to set a link connection status. An aggregate communication apparatus is notified about setting information of the communication starting time, and the aggregate communication apparatus measures an S/N at every communication starting time of lines to be interfered with each other, records the S/N of a bottom value and implements the initialization process by referring to the S/N of the bottom value in the next link connection, thereby connecting a link.
