PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an organic EL display with high reliability by creating a sealing material for organic EL displays suitable for local heating with laser beam. SOLUTION: The sealing material for organic EL displays is a sealing material for organic EL displays provided to sealing treatment with laser beam and contains 50-99.9 mass% of glass powder and 0.1-20 mass% of an inorganic pigment.
