The multipurpose handkerchief of the present invention comprises: a pocket provided on a corner part on one side of either one of the surfaces of the handkerchief; a plurality of tie strings, one end of each of which is provided fixedly in the inward or outward directions of the pocket; tie loops provided adjacent to the pocket towards the two ends of the fixed corner part of the pocket; and a pocket opening/closing member provided between the inner surface of the pocket and the surface of the handkerchief which has been provided with the pocket. This allows for the invention to be used not only as a regular handkerchief, but also for it to be used in a variety of ways in that it may be worn on the chest or waist, etc., and may be worn on the chest and used as a front cover or wet-nursing cover by the person carrying it as necessary, or may be worn on the waist and used in place of an apron.
