The present invention comprises the application of phytoceutic compositions to pets, which due to their sedentary life and food, are subjected to a higher prevalence of cancer and degenerative diseases. The compounds contained in said compositions, in much of the cases have antioxidant properties which inhibit the harmful reactions of free radicals, which is a frequent cause of cancer. The compositions comprise extracts or concentrates resulting from the alkaline or enzymatic hydrolysis of different vegetable sources, which contain effective concentrations of two or more phenolic compounds, such as ferulic, coumaric, caffeic, protocatechuic and vanillic acid.
