<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder without applying large force to recording paper, when pulling out the recording paper from a roll body stored in a roll body storage part, when a user performs work for inserting the recording paper into a paper feeding mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This recorder 1 is provided for recording on a recording medium 2 sent out of the roll body 3, by installing the roll body 3 wound with the belt-like recording medium 2, and has a roll support shaft 15L for supporting the roll body 3, a motor 17 for making torque act in the normal rotation direction on the roll support shaft 15L, and a driving indicating means 12 for indicating driving to the motor 17.
