PRIORITIZATION OF DATA-CAPABLE NETWORK THROUGH REJECT CODE PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selecting a wireless communication network to provide one or more communication services to a mobile station.

SOLUTION: More time-efficient selection of a data-capable network (compliant with GPRS) is intended for mobile stations in an area where a plurality of different serves is provided for mobile stations. For this end, the method of selecting a wireless communication network performs: issuing a request for data connectivity to be transmitted through a first wireless network; retrying the request for data connectivity through the first wireless network one or more times if a reject code including a non-material error is received in response to the request for data connectivity through the first wireless network; and trying to select a second wireless network for communications without retrying the request for data connectivity through the first wireless network one or more times if a reject code including a material error is received in response to the request for data connectivity through the first wireless network.
