摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle electronic control unit and an operation clock switching method that minimize an effect on device control and enable electric power-saving. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle electronic control unit 100 having a variable operation clock, comprises: a receiving means 31 receiving stop prediction information or start prediction information for a vehicle 22 from a roadside device such as a traffic light 21 etc; a stop determination means 33 predicting whether the vehicle 22 should stop or not based on the stop prediction information; a switching time calculation means 361; a timer setting means 362; and a change means 36. When a stop is predicted, the switching time calculation means 361 calculates the reduction prediction time required until a vehicular state detection value, which affects the processing load of an engine rotating speed etc, lowers below the reference value, and then the timer setting means 362 converts the reduction prediction time to a pre-switching counter value of the operation clock to set on the switching timer 35, and in turn the switching means 36 switches to a low operation clock when the counter value of the switching timer 35 becomes zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
