<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature difference between temperature of a catalyst device and temperature at which the catalyst device is activated. <P>SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine 1 is provided with an exhaust gas passage 117 in which exhaust gas flows, a turbine wheel 131 provided in the exhaust gas passage 117 and rotated by exhaust gas, and a waist gate passage 141 providing communication between the exhaust gas passage 117 at an upstream side of exhaust gas flow of the turbine wheel 131 and the exhaust gas passage 117 at a downstream side of the exhaust gas flow of the turbine wheel 131. Rotation speed of the turbine wheel 131 is dropped from present rotation speed of the turbine wheel 131 irrespective of exhaust gas introduced to the turbine wheel 131 when a catalyst device 122 is warmed up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
