<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an operation management center side predict a train position at the interruption of a general-purpose radio telephone, so that the train position can be always continuously grasped even in the operation management center. <P>SOLUTION: The train position synchronization system is provided with an in-vehicle device 60 mounted in the train 20, performing train position detection (34) based on GPS position measurement (33) and transmitting position information by data communication (VPN) utilizing a general-purpose radio telephone network (63) at all times; and a center processing device 51 for grasping the position of the train 20 by obtaining the position information of the train 20 from the in-vehicle device 60 by the data communication (VPN) utilizing the general-purpose radio telephone network (52).
