<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced calcium silicate material that can endure long-term use without changing principle raw materials. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a calcium silicate material includes using a calcareous raw material, a siliceous raw material, wollastonite and carbon fiber as essential raw materials, adding and mixing water to the raw materials to prepare a source slurry, subsequently dehydrating and molding the source slurry to obtain a green sheet, and ageing the green sheet in an autoclave to harden. The method is characterized in that: polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber in a chopped strand state is used as the carbon fiber; and the carbon fiber is preliminarily heated in an alkali solution having a pH of 10 or more under the conditions of 60°C or higher and 100°C or lower for 30 minutes or longer and subsequently mixed with other raw materials to prepare the source slurry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
