<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit comprising a crank case storing the crank shaft of an internal combustion engine, and a belt type continuously variable transmission arranged on one side of the crank case, the belt type continuously variable transmission being provided on one side of the crank shaft, the crank shaft being mounted on a vehicle in the cross direction of the vehicle, wherein a cylinder head and a saddle portion on the outside thereof are not protruded over a filling port and its relative portion and the oil filling port is arranged without increasing the size of the saddle portion of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The power unit includes a generator arranged at the end of the crank shaft on the opposite side to the belt type continuously variable transmission and stored in the crank case, a power unit output shaft arranged on the crank case on the opposite side to the belt type continuously variable transmission, and the oil filling port arranged in a recessed portion of the crank case between a generator storage portion and the output shaft in the top view of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
