<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing assembly can align a hub spindle and an outer ring of a constant velocity joint by the meshing operation of both side splines of the hub spindle and the outer ring of the constant velocity joint. <P>SOLUTION: The hub spindle 13 of a hub wheel 10 and the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity joint 50 are connected together. Both side splines 80, 90 for connecting the hub spindle 13 to the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity joint 50 in a torque-transmitting manner are formed on an end face of the hub spindle 13 and an end face of the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity joint 50. A tooth crest 93 of one side spline 90 and a bottom land 82 of the other side spline 80 out of both side splines 80, 90 are respectively formed on a circular arc surface with the center of oscillation of the constant velocity joint 50 being its center O. The hub spindle 13 and the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity joint 50 are aligned by the contact of the tooth crest 93 and the bottom land 82 with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
