<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red color composition capable of compatibly exhibiting high luminance and high contrast when a color filter is formed by using, as a main pigment, a pigment except PR177 and PR254, which are red pigments having high levels in both luminance and contrast and are already used. <P>SOLUTION: Both the luminance and contrast are improved and, especially, the contrast is markedly improved by finely working a C.
