The disengageable valve gear (1) has a gas exchange valve (2), whose shaft (3) is enclosed by a valve spring (4), which is supported on one end against a cylinder head and on the other end against a lower side (5) of an axial spring collar (6) which moves freely opposite to the shaft. An axial slider (11) is provided, which is constituted by a lower section (22) with both the halt sections (20,21) and an upper section (23) with the upper side (15). A compression spring (24) is provided, which runs between both the sections.
