<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system which can restrain power consumption, while electronic equipment is not being connected to an electric outlet which exclusively supplies power to the fixed electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 18 brings an output control unit 14 into a state of supplying power to an output line OUT 2, when the identification information of the electronic equipment 2 is not correct. As a result, power supply to the electronic equipment 2 and the CPU 18 itself is interrupted. The CPU 18 is started in response to power supply from the output control unit 14 brought into a state of supplying power to an output line OUT 2, by holding down a push-switch 111, and brings the output control unit 14 into a state of supplying power to the output line OUT 1.
