MOVING PICTURE TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND MOVING PICTURE TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture transmission device and a moving picture transmission method that perform reproduction flexibly adaptive to the distance between a transmission device and a reception device on a network when an encoded moving picture is transmitted between the transmission device and reception device through the network while having a transmission range limited.

SOLUTION: The moving picture transmission device which divides a plurality of pictures including an in-frame encoded picture and an in-frame non-encoded picture into packets and transmits them to the network is configured to set a predetermined TTL value indicating the lifetime of packets according to whether a picture divided into the packets is the in-frame encoded picture or in-frame non-encoded picture.
