<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking space monitoring device capable of calculating a parking space with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The parking space monitoring device detects the relative position of an obstacle with respect to a vehicle 1 from the relative distance and the relative angle of the obstacle around the vehicle 1 to the vehicle 1 through ultrasonic sensors 2, 3.
