PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a liquid crystal display substrate from static electricity independently of the charge amount of static electricity.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a first transparent insulating substrate having many pixel electrodes and many semiconductor elements to display an image; wires formed on the first substrate and connected to the semiconductor elements; and many spark induction circuits connected between the adjacent wires to consume static electricity generated from the first substrate.
