<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode active material capable of providing an electrochemical element of high operation voltage, capacitance, and energy density. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode active material, with a fluorene ring being substantially polymerized at second place and seventh place, comprises an alternating copolymer of precise polymerization fluorene-phenylene where a phenylene ring is coupled with the fluorene ring substantially at the same position. The electrode active material has a capacitance significantly larger than an electrode active material comprising a bulk polymerization polyfluorene acquired at irregular positions by polymerization with iron chloride (III) as a catalyst, so that its oxidation-reduction potential of p-doping is raised. Such electrochemical element as has high operation voltage, capacitance, and energy density is provided thanks to an electrode active material comprising a precise polymerizing fluorene-phenylene alternating copolymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
