PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin pellet capable of decreasing the probability of interminglement of a foreign substance in a transparent component in case of shaping the component, and to provide its manufacturing method and device. SOLUTION: The resin pellet 31 formed of the transparent resin such as a cyclic olefin or the like is formed by a strand method, is cylindrical and has a plurality of pressed indentations 32 on the outer circumferential surface 31a. Each pressed indentation 32 has a flat surface or the inner bottom surface and the inner tilting surface. Accordingly the shape and dimension of the pellet 31 and the dimension of the pressed indentation 32 can be uniform, and a resin small piece due to the formation of the pressed indentation is hardly formed.
