<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always accurately control transportation quantity of fuel into a cylinder even during transient operation. <P>SOLUTION: Valve closure-time direct transportation rateαcl of fuel injected while an intake valve is closed and directly transported into the cylinder out of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve of an intake pipe injection type engine is operated (S50) and valve open-time direct transportation rateβcl of fuel injected while the intake valve is opened and directly transported into the cylinder is operated (S60).
