<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inexpensively and precisely disposing and fixing spacer particles in prescribed positions of a color filter formed on a transparent substrate by using inkjet printing. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a color filter substrate with spacers, which has spacer particles fixed in prescribed positions on a color filter, includes at least: a step (1) of preparing spacer ink wherein spacer particles are dispersed in at least a solvent; a step (2) of forming an engraved plate which has recesses formed in positions corresponding to the prescribed positions and is subjected to surface treatment which develops a phenomenon that spacer particles are gathered into the recesses during ink drying process when the spacer ink is supplied; a step (3) of selectively supplying the spacer ink to the recessed of the engraved plate by inkjet printing and drying the spacer ink; and a step (4) of transferring and fixing spacer particles gathered in the recesses to the prescribed position on the color filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
