<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure and a connection method of a connecting terminal, which can surely connect a penetrating piece penetrating a flat conductor without bending. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A piercing terminal connection unit 1 includes a piercing terminal 10 equipped with a plurality of piercing blades 21 for penetrating a flat cable 100 to be electrically connected with the flat wiring conductor 101 by the piercing blades 21, and a fixing jig 50 in contact in a pulling-out direction at a symmetrical position in at least two piercing blades 21 penetrating the flat cable 100. At the same time, the piercing blades 21 are formed in a thin-plate shape having side faces 21a nearly parallel with a length direction X and the pulling-out direction Z of the flat cable 100, and a symmetrical position where the fixing jig 50 comes into contact with the piercing blades 21 is to be side faces 21a on the inside in a width direction of the piercing blades 21 formed in a thin-plate shape.
