<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing method of a fire resistant material on a synthetic segment for fixing a reinforcing member to the segment without any repetitive coating or welding on a surface of the segment, and a fire resistant structure of the synthetic segment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: At the position of a member fixing hole 13, a lid 15 is provided on a surface 18 on the ground side of a skin plate 7 on a pit inside side. After applying the corrosion-resistant coating 21 on a surface 17 on the pit inside side of the skin plate 7 on the pit inside side and an inner circumferential part 19 of the member fixing hole 13, concrete 23 is filled in an inner part 25 of a steel shell 3 to complete a steel shell synthetic segment 1 and a pit wall such as an inner circumferential surface of a tunnel is lined. Then, a prepared hole 26 is formed in the lid 15 and the concrete 23, a post-cast anchor 27 is fixed in the prepared hole 26, and a net 29 is mounted on the surface 17 on the pit inside side of the skin plate 7 on the pit inside side. In addition, a fire resistant material 31 is blown on the surface 17 on the pit inside side of the skin plate 7 on the pit inside side with the net 29 being fixed thereto.
