<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door position regulation device capable of acting a damping mechanism on a door in both opening and closing directions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This door position regulation device 40 comprises a pulley 42, a first rope 43, a second rope 44, a reciprocating mobile body 45, a rod member 46, and the damping mechanism 47. The first rope 43 and the rod member 46 are connected to the arm member 22 of a door checker 20. The second rope 44 is connected to the reciprocating mobile body 45. The firs rope 43 and the second rope 44 are wrapped around the pulley 42 in the directions reverse to each other. When the door is moved in the opening direction, the first rope 43 is pulled, and the pulley 42 is rotated in a first direction R1. When the door is moved in the closing direction, the rod member 46 is pushed, and the reciprocating mobile body 45 is moved in the direction away from the pulley 42. Therefore, the second rope 44 is pulled, and the pulley 42 is rotated in the second direction R2. The rotation of the pulley 42 is suppressed by the damping mechanism 47.
