<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively using the resources of an apparatus for reproducing content. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The content reproducing device 1 for reproducing the content recorded in a recording medium includes: a file storage part 3 for storing a plurality of reproduction processing files supplied for content reproduction processing; and a file processing part 5 for referring to a definition file which is recorded in a storage medium or stored in the file storage part 3 and defines a file to be used for reproduction processing among the plurality of reproduction processing files, and deleting the files not defined as the file to be used for reproduction processing by the definition file among the plurality of reproduction processing files stored in the file storage part 3 from the file storage part 3.
