PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple retrieval function for making it unnecessary for a user to selectively input a retrieval key, by extracting words relevant to the interest of a user from the action of a user, and retrieving those words as a retrieval keyword. SOLUTION: In a response to simple retrieval by a user, a keyword for retrieval is automatically generated, and a retrieval server or a retrieval engine is instructed to perform retrieval, and words are extracted from the content of a Web page browsed by the user and the content of mail transmitted or received by a portable terminal, and stored in a database for extracting a keyword to be used for simple retrieval.
