PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sloshing suppressing member which can be economically and easily installed for promoting the sloshing countermeasures ready for a possible large earthquake in future, and demonstrating a high suppressing effect. SOLUTION: The sloshing suppressing member includes a suppressing plate 21 to be supported in a vertically movable manner in a stored liquid, and an oscillation absorbing means 22 which is mounted between a floating roof 12 and the suppressing plate 21 and vertically expandable/contractible.
