The molder has a tubular main section (1) comprising a central main drilling (3) with an inside diameter (4) slightly larger than an outside diameter of a surgical nail to be formed. The inside diameter of the main drilling is slightly larger than 2, 3, 4, or 5 millimeters. The main section has a length (6) of about 130 to 170 millimeters and an outside diameter (2) of about 12 to 15 millimeters. An end section (7) of the main section is conically tapered, and another end section (8) has a transverse attachment (9) with a cross hole (10) arranged transverse to the main drilling.
