The method involves arranging a flexible seat cushion section with a groove and a seat cover lamination in a molding press. A force is exerted on the seat cushion section or the seat cover lamination for bringing the seat cushion section and the cover section in contact with each other such that the section of the seat cover lamination is molding pressed into the groove in the seat cushion section. The seat cushion section is partially molding pressed together to fasten the connection of the seat cover section with the seat cushion section and to manufacture a vehicle seat.
