The converter (9) has a solid-converter layer (10) for direct conversion of a radiation, an X-ray (8) or gamma radiation, into electrical charge carriers (11). A pixel electrode (13) and a counter electrode (15) are arranged on sides (12, 14) of the converter layer (10), respectively. The pixel electrode or a part of the pixel electrode has an extension (16) electrically contacting a surface metallization (17) of the pixel electrode. The extension extends into the converter layer and is an electrically-conductive. The extension is made of a platinum or gold.
