PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a toner by which agglomeration due to charge is hardly generated and screening can be performed, even with a toner having a high chargeability and jumping in of coarse particles can be surely prevented, since coarse particles which are slightly larger than the target particle diameter can be removed. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electrophotographic toner having -20 to -60 μC/g charge amount having at least a granulating step of granulating toner particles in an aqueous medium, has a size distribution adjustment step of adjusting the size distribution of mother toner particles; and the size distribution adjusting step is a screening step of screening the coarse mother toner particles from a slurry dispersed in the aqueous medium, by using a screen made of a non-metal to remove the coarse particles.
