摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst composition which has sufficient formability and sufficient mechanical strength and enables controlling of coking during aromatization of light hydrocarbons and method of efficiently manufacturing aromatic hydrocarbons from hydrocarbons containing light hydrocarbons as raw materials by using the catalyst composition. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst composition comprises a crystalline aluminosilicate containing gallium and a clay mineral containing at least 50 mass% of halloysite and 100-1,000 mass ppm, in terms of the oxides, of one or more of alkali metals and/or alkaline earth metals.
