<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production apparatus enhancing hydrogen production efficiency without enlarging in size. <P>SOLUTION: A projecting portion 43 projecting toward an apical part 31c of a cylindrical body 31b of a combustion tube 31 is disposed at the bottom 38 of a reformer, and exhaust gas E guided toward the bottom 38 by the cylindrical body 31b is diverged by the protruding portion 43 on the apical part 31c side of the cylindrical body 31b and allowed to flow smoothly into the lower end opening 33a of an exhaust gas passage 33. The exhaust gas E is efficiently passed through the exhaust gas passage 33, so that a sufficient amount of heat is supplied to a reforming section 32 without enlarging the combustion tube 31. Since the exhaust gas E is allowed to flow smoothly into the lower end opening 33a of the exhaust gas passage 33 and prevented from staying near the bottom 38, the amount of heat transferred to a carbon monoxide removal device 22 is reduced, whereby the temperature control of the carbon monoxide removal device 22 is made easy and the degradation of carbon monoxide removal efficiency is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
