<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device which achieves electronic money settlement providing improved convenience to a user. <P>SOLUTION: An image output device 1 acquires image data from input media, and displays a payment money amount and the number of printing to be calculated according to such order content information such as the number of printing and print size input by a print order input means 104, and makes a user select a payment method in cash or with electronic money. A charging settlement means 105 performs charging processing in cash or the charging settlement processing with electronic money by the image output device 1. Whether payment is possible is determined base on the electronic money information and the payment money amount read from the IC card, and when it is determined that payment is impossible, the order content information is not invalidated, and the payment method (cash/other electronic money) is made selectable again.
