PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved liquid crystal display device wherein residual stress of a polarizing plate is balanced in a step of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device includes a step of holding a polarizing plate 6a along a projected surface of a stage 1 having the curved projected surface, bringing a liquid crystal panel 7 into contact with the held polarizing plate 6a so as to be partially overlapped and successively performing pressing operation from the overlapped portion of the liquid crystal panel 7 by a panel sticking roller 2 to stick the liquid crystal panel 7 along the polarizing plate 6a and a step of bringing a polarizing plate 6b into contact with the stuck liquid crystal panel 7 so as to be partially overlapped and successively performing pressing operation from the overlapped portion of the polarizing plate 6b by a polarizing plate sticking roller 3 to stick the polarizing plate 6b along the liquid crystal panel 7.
