PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve user-friendly file management.

SOLUTION: An electronic file management device forms a plurality of virtual spaces by computer graphics, and displays a file object in each virtual space. The file object is a virtual object to be associated with an electronic file. The file object is set at an optional position (virtual position) in each virtual space by a user. In file retrieval, the virtual space and a retrieval region are designated as conditions for retrieving an electronic file. Thus, the electronic file associated with the file object in the designated retrieval region in the designated virtual space is detected.
