PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find out the value of the maximum stress or its occurrence place from the result of stress analysis using a finite element method. SOLUTION: A stress analysis device 1 divides an analysis object regionαinto finite number of elements E (S5); calculates a stress for every element E (S7); divides the analysis object regionαinto a plurality of divisions K configured of the plurality of elements E (S3); stores the divided divisions K and the elements E included in the divisions K by associating them with each other (S10); selects the element E whose stress is the maximum for every recorded division K (S12); outputs the stress of the selected element E as the value of the division K where the element E is included; and also outputs the value of the division K as well as the position of the selected element E (S15).
