PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a display device, which can easily perform mounting operation of a light display part and accurately positioning a light release part to a translucent part of an operation panel; a display unit for the display device; a holding cover for the display unit; and a manipulation device with light display provided with the display device. SOLUTION: The display device 100 having a light-emitting means supported by a printed wiring board comprises: a board 40 provided with a printed circuit; a light-emitting element 51 mounted on the board and emitting light in a direction distant from the board surface; and a light guide 52 mounted on the board 40 so that an incident part faces the light-emitting element and guiding light from the light-emitting element 51 incident through the incident part to a predetermined direction along the board 40.
