PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel combustion device capable of securely detecting clogging of an oil filter 10 caused by water and dust without providing an additional component. SOLUTION: The combustion device is provided with a liquid level detection means 18 for detecting the liquid level within an oil pan 2 and a residual amount detection means 19 for detecting the amount of liquid fuel inside an oil feeding tank 1. Based on detection results by the detection means 18, 19, clogging of the oil filter 10 caused by accumulation of water, dust or the like is determined. Thus, without providing an additional component, by using only the detection means, clogging of the oil filter 10 caused by water and dust can be securely detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
