PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content recording apparatus and content recording method capable of correctly controlling how many times a non-copied interval can be copied, in a case where only a partial interval of contents, for which the number of copy enabled times is restricted, is copied outside an apparatus. SOLUTION: A content recording apparatus is configured in such a way that contents, for which the number of copy enabled times is restricted, are divided into predetermined intervals, the number of copy enabled times is recorded for each interval, and copy or playback of interval is controlled based on the number of copy enabled times.
