<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system capable of performing transmission control in response to an operation mode of a user receiving an electronic mail, when transmitting the electronic mail. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This electronic mail system includes: an operation monitoring part for monitoring whether electronic mail transmission request processing is executed or not; an operation mode determining part for extracting operation log information of a reception person of the electronic mail and/or asset information of a computer terminal used by the reception person, from a prescribed storage area, when determining the presence of the electronic mail transmission request processing, and for determining the operation mode of the reception person, using the extracted operation log information of and/or the asset information; an information leakage risk determining part for determining an information leakage risk in response to the determined operation mode; and a transmission control part for conducting the transmission control corresponding to the determined information leakage risk.
