摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorescent temperature and/or pH-responsive polymer which perform a fluorescence measurement, repeatedly and even under different conditions, by changing the surrounding environment of the polymer, specifically by changing temperature and pH, and to provide its new application. Ž<P>SOLUTION: (1) The polymer of which affinity for an aqueous solvent varies with temperature and/or pH, and which includes bound fluorescent substances. (2) The measurement method of a substance having a fluorogenic component or the change of its surrounding environment including a process in which the polymer of which affinity for the aqueous solvent varies with the changes of temperature and/or pH, and which includes the bound fluorescent substances, is placed near the substance having the fluorogenic component in the aqueous solvent, fluorescence resonance energy transfer is produced between the fluorogenic component and the fluorescent substance in the polymer, and the intensity of the fluorescence consequently generated is measured.
