AUTHENTICATION FEATURE AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION

Authentication feature and method for the production thereof. A relatively thin blank is placed between two dies in order to produce a ridged pattern by compression moulding. Sections with varying heights (9) are applied on the slopes of the ridges. These parts are disposed in different positions in the height of the ridges (8), thus producing various images by tilting the object thus obtained. The connecting space provided between adjacent ridges may optionally be used to store further information. An authentication feature as such may be used for various applications in products introduced on the market and for which the use of such a feature is indicated. The authentication feature may be formed by injection moulding instead of pressing.
