PURPOSE: A method for managing a meter using a customer sensor and a recording medium are provided to systematize a monthly pay system by keeping a taxi fare calculation and payment structure transparent. CONSTITUTION: A customer sensing information is received from a customer sensor for sensing the customer who takes a taxi(200). Whether the customer takes the taxi or not is checked by reading the customer sensing information(210). If the customer takes the taxi, the taking time is checked(220). A taxi fare is calculated while the time passes after the customer takes the taxi(225). If the taxi fare is calculated, the taking time information and the meter fare non-calculation time information are initialized(235). If the taxi fare is not calculated, the meter fare non-calculation time information is stored or transmitted to the server of the communication network(240).
